One Year Baby Birthday Party Shoot
Ottawa Photographer | Little Lamb Photography
For months I had an idea to do a styled one year baby birthday party shoot mulling in my head. I began figuring out what I wanted in the styled party shoot and then I figured out the colour scheme. Over the Christmas holidays and in the early new year I began to contact various Ottawa vendors to help me make my vision come to life. All of the vendors were so nice and worked with me to create beautiful items for the styled photo shoot.
A special thank you goes out to the amazing vendors who helped:
Thanks to Carla of Carla’s Cakes. I e-mailed her my ideas and colour scheme and she used her creativity to make some edible art, including the sugar flower on top of the cake. Not only were her cupcakes, doughnuts and cake beautiful, but they were so delicious too. Most noteworthy was that I was able to try out all of them after photographing them. Mmmmmmm. Her cake was also used in a styled cake smash photo session.
Thanks to Arnie of Arnie’s Sweets. I had an idea to have a water colour cake as one of the cakes in the photo shoot. Arnie stepped up to the plate to create this beautiful hand painted water colour styled cake, complete with a beautiful sugar flower on top.
Thanks to Jelena of Bake Mob for making beautiful and tasty macarons and cake pops. They were the perfect touches needed to help create such a beautiful sweets table. I’ve never eaten either one before. So, it was a nice and tasty experience.
Thanks to Amy and Jen of Amy + Jen decor. They graciously provided so many beautiful props for the shoot, including some vintage items and the sparkly Happy Birthday lettering.
Thanks to Liz of Ivy Stripe for the beautiful custom made stationery, including the party invitation, R.S.V.P card, envelope and sweet table sign. I told her that I wanted them to be in water colour with white cursive style font on top. She didn’t disappoint with any of her creations.
Thanks to Dana of Lux Event Rentals for providing such a gorgeous sequined table cloth to make it look classy.
Please check out the links to each vendor at the end of this post.
I’m also proud and happy to announce that this styled birthday shoot was featured on The Frosted Petticoat. I actually had that particular amazing food blog in mind when I had the idea to do this styled party shoot. I’m so grateful that it was accepted to be featured. Go ahead and check it out. 😀
