Wedding Photography Inspiration Ottawa Ontario

Ottawa Wedding Photography Styled Shoot

This wedding photography inspiration shoot in Ottawa Ontario was originally the idea of Reah of Ele Bridal. It began when our lovely model brought Reah her grandmother’s vintage wedding dress to be updated for her to wear to her own wedding. Reah contacted me right away and asked if I wanted to photograph a styled wedding shoot. My response was of course, yes, but in my head it was more like Napoleon Dynamite saying, “Heck yes!” So, for several months, Reah and I spent a lot of time contacting other Ottawa and Gatineau area wedding vendors to participate in our styled wedding photo shoot.

The styled wedding shoot took place at Keg Manor. Once I knew that we were going for a romantic vintage feel, I immediately envisioned Keg Manor as our location. I’m so thankful that we were able to shoot there as it provided such a beautiful backdrop (Thanks Jay!). It was also awesome to have a real bride and groom model for us. The flowers and decor also added to our romantic vintage look.

We were also lucky to get some really amazing wedding vendors on board to help us create our vision. When everything was displayed, the vision really came together. I loved all of the purple with yellow, white and orange accents.

A special thanks to the following people who helped put this photo shoot together:

I’m so grateful that everyone worked hard to help create such a beautifully styled wedding shoot. A special thank you goes out to Reah and Lubna for not only providing beautiful props for the styled wedding shoot, but also for assisting me while I was shooting. I could not have done half of the things without your help and input.

I have to say hats off to Irina of Sweet Song Cakes for her stunning wedding cake. It was perfection. During our shoot we had so many people asking who had made it. I must mention that those flowers on the cake are made out of gum paste (ie. sugar).  I can only imagine how many hours were spent to create that beautiful masterpiece.

Thanks to Amanda of Sugar Sugar. I must mention how beautiful her sugar cookies were as well as her cupcakes. Not only were they small works of art, but they were delicious too.  I got to eat some after the photo shoot.

Thanks to Gisleide and Romulo Burock of L’Assiette de Dessert for making the pretty brigadeiros. They are yummy sweet drops of Brazilian-style goodness.

Thanks to Amy and Jen of Amy and Jen Decor for loaning us some dessert pedestals and the cupcake stand.

Thanks to Stéphanie of Flore & Sens for making such a beautiful wedding bouquet and boutonniere. She really brought out her creative vision.  I loved all of the bright colours.

Thanks to Jessica of Ink Blossom for creating the beautiful stationery, menu, seating cards and wedding invitation. They really helped to tie in our vision.

Thanks to Lubna of Loban Tree Party Decor for also providing the beautiful linens for the table and chair settings.

Thanks again to Reah of ele Bridal for creating a beautiful wedding dress, veil and bridal accessories. She really worked her magic to give the vintage dress a little more modern touch.

Thanks to The Capelli Club for providing their makeup and hair services to transform pretty Rebecca into a gorgeous bride.

And last, but not least, thank you so much to Jay at the Keg for allowing us to do the styled wedding shoot there. Your staff were very accommodating to us.  And what a beautiful spot.

I’m so grateful that everyone worked hard to help create such a beautifully styled wedding shoot. Thanks everyone for helping to make this styled wedding shoot possible.  🙂  You can check out Ottawa Wedding Magazine’s published feature of our stylized wedding shoot.  I’m so happy that it was published.  😀
