Old Quarry Trail Engagement Photos

Kanata Engagement Photos

About a week and a half ago I shot some old quarry trail engagement photos in Kanata of these two. Since I live in the east end, I normally don’t travel that far west for an engagement session. However, since Ryan proposed to Courtney on old quarry trail, they wanted to do their session there. How could I say no? I’m glad I said yes because it was a pretty location and the photos turned out really well. 🙂

There’s a story with this turkey. Courtney is an avid bird watcher, so Ryan planned a rather elaborate plan to pop the question to her. He bought a turkey decoy and had his friends place it on the Old quarry trail in Kanata. They then texted him to tell him exactly where it was. Ryan took Courtney on a walk with the ruse that they could go bird watching. However, when they arrived to where the decoy was, this turkey was sitting on the trail with the question written on his tail asking for Courtney to marry Ryan. This has got to be one of the most unique wedding proposals that I’ve ever had any of my clients do. Hilarious and brilliant at the same time.

I’d love to hear from your if you’re looking for a wedding photographer, or even if you just need an engagement session. Contact me today.
