Jason + Catherine’s Watson’s Mill Wedding Photos in Manotick
Ottawa Wedding Photographer
A few months ago I shot Jason + Catherine’s Watson’s Mill Wedding photos in Manotick. It was a gorgeous summer day–humid as anything, but beautiful and sunny just the same.
I was blown away by all of the beautiful rustic details at their wedding. I must admit that my favourite weddings are weddings with rustic touches. Wood touches, burlap, old buildings, old furniture: I love that kind of stuff and love shooting details of them too. This wedding had all of those wonderful rustic touches that I love so much. And the best part was that it was all DIY. All of those gorgeous flowers (including the wedding and bridesmaids’ bouquets) were from the bride’s garden. How lovely is that? What a fantastic personal touch to add to your wedding.
Watson’s Mill provided a nice rustic touch to the wedding reception. The reception was held upstairs in the mill. I loved the beautiful stone walls and the old mill tools left inside the building. It made for such a beautiful backdrop.
One of the things I love about shooting weddings is to see the love between brides and grooms. I find that some couples show it a little more than others and these guys were one of those couples whose love shines a little more than the usual wedded bliss. It’s obvious that they’re gonna grow old together. What a blessing. Contrats you two on your wedding. I wish nothing but the best for the two of you love birds. 🙂
