Buckingham Masson-Angers Child Photographer
Little Lamb Photography
Today is throw back Thursday. Thus, I wanted to post some photos of my daughter that I shot about three years ago. When my daughter was little, I took a lot of photos of her. When I say a lot, I mean A LOT. I was shooting monthly photo sessions of her for the first two years of her life. I have to say that it was a lot of fun. From shooting a lot I learned more about shooting using natural light and prime lenses than I had before.
By shooting so much, it became a real game changer to me for shooing better portraits. As a result, I began to change not only how I shot, but what aperture to use, using just natural light and no flash. In addition to that, I also changed my post processing style of my files. Also, I switched from just shooting jpgs to shooting RAW. And finally, I also ditched using on camera flash outdoors for fill light and switched to just using natural light (sometimes using reflectors). I now consider myself a natural light photographer. Yay!
These photos were shot in our backyard. As you can see, it was spring. This was my husband’s favourite cherry tree. I thought it looked pretty with the spring blossoms, so I took her photos by it. Sadly, that tree got sick and had to be cut down. At least we have some pretty photos of it. 🙂
If you like my style of photography, I would love to photograph your portraits. I shoot maternity photos, lifestyle newborn photos, family portraits, baby and cake smash photography. I also document birthday parties. Contact me today to book your photo session. I’m looking forward to hearing from you. 🙂
